Mission Statement: ATX Winterguard is a 501(c)(3) educational nonprofit that strives to empower traditionally underserved youth, adolescents, and adults to expand their capabilities, and to cultivate self-reliance, camaraderie, and sportsmanship through competitive artistic performance.

 

Vision Statement: The power of performing arts to enrich human experience and society is recognized, celebrated, and respected.

 

Core Values: Building a professional community by contributing our time and talents to others. Valuing our diversity and committing ourselves to constantly evolving toward a more positive experience in the pageantry arts through inclusiveness and assistance.

 

History: ATX Winterguard was founded in 2008 by Michael J. Vazquez and Judy Easton. ATX first competed in 2009, making finals at WGI Austin, and winning a bronze medal in TCGC in Independent A Class. Our Regional A and Cadet programs were created in 2011. 

 

ATX has been a consistent TCGC State Championships Medalist and a
7-time WGI World Championships Semi-Finalist  (2011-2016) . ATX has also performed 4 times in WGI World Championships Finals (2011, 2014-2016).

 

2017 marked ATX's first season in Independent Open class, the promotion of ATX Regional A to A class, and a partnership with Genesis Drum and Bugle Corps, Inc.
